Our very own Jackson Shafer was one of the finalists for the 2013 Big Apple Teaching Awards! Based on nominations from parents, colleagues, principals, students, and members of the public, 50 New York City teachers were chosen to be finalists based on their ability to demonstrate exceptional success impacting students’ learning, excellence in their instructional practice, and professional contributions to their school community. Jackson was also honored as one of \”The 40 Most Influential Teachers Under 40\” by Veritas Prep. Jackson is an incredible Literature and Theater teacher, and we are tremendously fortunate and honored to have him as part of our school community.
